The value of humor has been confirmed to the point that many hospitals and ambulatory care centers now have incorporated special rooms where materials - and sometimes people - are there to help make people laugh. Materials include movies, audio and videotapes, books, games, and puzzles for patients of every age. Movies and TV shows by popular comedians from Laurel and Hardy to Bob Hope and Bob Newhart, humorous songs, the joke of the day on the Internet, the one paragraph jokes and funny stories from the Readers' Digest, all have value in helping patients who would otherwise have little to laugh about.

Do you consider laugh as being a drug? You should! It is a really healthy drug. Do you know how much can laugh help you? For example, if you are a stressed person, there is nothing better than a dose of laugh. Of course, nobody said that by laughing you will totally avoid stress, but you can certainly limit it. Whenever you feel that you are losing control with all this stress around, you have to add a dose of stress and even sooner that that. If you are optimist, nothing can go as bad as it would if you have a bad temper.

Making time to Laugh
Have you ever thought about the things you make along the day? You order pizza, you go and fill your car with gas, you go to the street corner to buy something? All these mean 10 or 15 minutes each. Well, thinking that a day has 24 hours, it is not so much time. In conclusion, you can also give 15 minutes to laughter. These 15 minutes of laughter have the same effect as an hour of aerobic workout or at least it can improve or system circulation. It will certainly improve blood flow which also means to be of a lot of help for our heart.

At any age, we can choose and we have to choose if we decide to laugh or not. It is our decision and we have the freedom and are even encouraged to decide laughing. There are many different aspects that the laugh affects about our lives. For the moment, let’s talk about how laugh influences our lives in a good way. For example, by laughing you acquire a lot of positive energy and positive feelings as well. By laughing, people seem more powerful, they are easier to talk to and they can easily control a situation. When they laugh they get rid of all fears, stress, they stop thinking how bad will the day of tomorrow be. I personally think that this makes them more powerful. It can help you to improve your life and it can also be responsible for a lot of good things in your life, like a better health, a happier family, and a better paid job. It can makes us be less stressed an so it contributes in all the aspect of our lives.

Laughter: The Perfect Exercise
Did you ever consider that laughter could be a perfect exercise for your organism? For the beginning, let’s think about laughter as at a form of aerobic. If you laugh, you will start giving your diaphragm workout and you will also be able to use more oxygen. If you laugh from all your heart it is like you would do jogging, but just for the inside of your body. This is a good exercise and even better than any other if you can not afford or you are not allowed doing other types of exercise. Laugh does many thing at a time, like relaxing some muscles that you aren’t using while laughing, improving your respiratory system and many more. Also, the lungs receive more air and they get to the result of a cleansing. If you went to a doctor and he prescribed you a diet and some exercise, you can add by your own initiative a laughter program and the results will come faster.

Sharing Humor
Are you sharing humor? As I read this question, I first thought about professional people that share humor, people who live by telling jokes and so on. But I have soon discovered that each of us should share humor and each of us should look life in a more humorous way. For example, when I was a child I had a teacher that was simply perfect. The way she dressed and behaved was a model for us, the girls. But one day she had mistaken a pair of sandals and she came in the classroom with one black sandal and one beige sandal. Yet she was living pretty close, she preferred excusing herself for that mistake and she stayed like that all day long. It was a shock for me seeing her how comfortable she felt even like that. As a model she was for me in what concerned dressing she also became a model in what concerned the attitude. Of course, we have all started laughing when she told us the story and we continued having her as a model.
